Alan  Fard MD

Years of education and professional training positioned Alan Fard, MD, for a successful career as a physician specializing in cardiovascular health. After earning both a BA and a BS from Shepherd University, Dr. Alan Fard entered medical school at West Virginia University. Following graduation with his MD in 2001, he completed a three-year postgraduate residency in internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.

Upon completion of his residency, Alan Fard, MD, undertook a fellowship in cardiology, also at Thomas Jefferson University. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Fard went on to teach courses in Columbia University's Department of Medicine for three years, first as an Instructor of Medicine and then as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. In 2001, he joined New York Medical College as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, a position he continues to hold today.

In 2002, Alan Fard, MD, joined Midtown Cardiovascular, LLC, a specialty clinic in New York City offering a wide range of treatments and services related to cardiovascular health. Today, Dr. Fard treats patients referred to the clinic from more than 70 physicians' offices throughout New York City and surrounding areas. In addition to his private practice and his work at New York Medical College, Dr. Fard maintains affiliations with NYU Langone Medical Center and Beth Israel Medical Center. He holds membership in the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, and the New York Echocardiography Society.
